there was a generic "notes" section at the top of each class to store notes that aren't lesson specific with the same class

Great news! You can do this now by adding a card to the day. Here's how you do it:
https://commoncurriculum.com/help/add-a-card-or-note-to-a-day-2LJ1Rz2FhY0McmQU2eAIOW
After you add the card, just drag it to the top of the day. To make the day card appear on EVERY Day:
- Click Settings & Schedule
- Click Adjust Class Schedule
- Click "Add Card" at the bottom of each day and drag the card to the top of the day
Does that help?

Scott Ames-Messinger: Those day cards are handy. But what I was hoping for was more like a notes you could take about the class, as opposed to the lesson or the day. That way, when planning future lessons, I could easily see ideas I had or specific needs for that group of students. This would be much easier to find if linked to a class than if it's stuck to a specific date or lesson.

S Cordingley: that definitely makes sense and is something we will keep in mind for future feature development. Thanks!

This doesn't seem complete... Where can I keep notes for a certain class. ie a list of activities to keep in mind for the future for that group of kids, but not in a specific lesson or unit?
Scott Ames-Messinger
S Cordingley: Great question! There isn't a specific way to do that now, but one way teachers have used Cc to accomplish something similar is they'll either:
- Add a comment to the card
- Add a card to the bottom of the lesson with notes on how the lesson went.
Then, when they import or copy their classes over to the next year, they see the note and can adjust the lesson accordingly.
