It'd be nice if there was a way to enter student birthdays without having to create an event for each one and it would show up on that day just at the top as a note to remind us when the birthdays are

I add a "note" card to the top of every day. I add my students' birthdays and then highlight them in green (or code however you want). Just a suggestion :)
