Skip or Extend a Lesson

I would like to Skip or Extend A Lesson without having to delete the lesson from my unit.
Right now, the only way this could be done is by having the units written outside of the lesson planner. (Or creating a master planner that is not edited.) Then the units are whole and complete. When starting a new lesson planner for the year, we can import lessons and then just delete a lesson or copy a lesson if we want it to last 2 days.
Another thing that may work is by allowing a box within the lesson that says how many days the lesson is. It could default to 1 day, but could also be changed to 0 (to remove the lesson from that year's planner) or extend a lesson by changing it to 2+.

Instead of just being able to copy and paste or shift a lesson, I would like to be able to extend a lesson.

I agree with the previous comments.
Beyond the basic lesson extending, I often end up extending certain lesson components (or in CC terminology "cards"), and it would be amazing to not only be able to extend a day's lesson from one to the next, but also to extend only one component.
For example, if I am only extending the "DOL Card," I would like to be able to stretch that lesson component to cover two days while pushing all future DOL assignments forward without affecting the rest of the day's lesson.
I am new to CC, but I love any technology that effectively organizes and streamlines my classroom. I expect that this will be a bigger issue for me as I import past classes next year if I continue to use this program.

On another site I've used before, you could extend a lesson or bump a lesson. If you chose that option, it would automatically move any other lessons for later in the week forward a day. I'm not sure that it actually showed that it was extended, it just appeared as a copied lesson. However, it just worked out nicer with the extending component because the program moved everything else along as well to compensate for the extension. I hope those ideas help.

Instead of copy and pasting, would it be possible to have the option to just drag a lesson to the next day and have existing lessons automatically shift to the next day? I think you can move entire days, but not necessarily just one section. Still not sure about the units issue . . .
