When I have to change my schedule and delete a class, I wish it did not delete my previous plans with the class I deleted.

Hey Kelli,
May I ask what button you're clicking? There should be a way to turn off a class and bump the lesson at the same time.
Thoughts?

Robbie Earle: I teach special ed so I create a class for each group of students I work with. I no longer have a group. Right now, I either have to delete the class in edit classes and all of my previous plans will disappear or I have to turn the class off every day. As my schedule adjusts, I don't want to lose the plans I wrote on previous days.

Kelli Kuker: That totally makes sense! For now, I'd recommend:
- Going to Settings and Adjust Class Schedule
 - Toggle all your classes off
 - On the day you're teaching, click the Day Menu day menu and then toggle the classes you want on.

I'd also appreciate this. I have a beginners introduction to Art which ran for a term but now that is moving into a formal qualification. I would like to be able to turn off Art for the rest of the year. My second art class has a specific name (name of qualification). I could rename my Art class but I may re-run it later in the year so it does need it's own subject area.

Interesting! Could you tell us more about when you'd need this? I haven't heard about this use case before and I'd love to learn more!

Scott Ames-Messinger: It is basically semester class. We have students groups (1, 2, 3 and 4). 2 of the groups will switch classes with the other 2 classes in the second semester. Thus, each pair of group will take some subjects only for 1 semester, not both.

Scott Ames-Messinger: This would be huge! I teach in both our middle and elementary divisions, so I teach a mix of year long, semester, trimester, and short unit classes. I also teach some 8 week enrichment clubs. To keep them all in the same planbook, I wind up scheduling everything for the whole year and then doing a lot of turning off individual classes.

Bridget Sitkoff: Thanks so much for explaining! That's helpful!
